The city of Jerez has always had a close relationship with motor sport and particularly with motorcycling. Already in the early sixties, the Trophy had Jerez de la Merced, prestigious international career that saw him pass motorcycling greats of that era. Pilots from the likes of Angel Nieto, Ricardo Tormo, Sito Pons, Benjamin Grau, Victor Palomo or internationals Marco Lucchinelli, Barry Sheene, Jan de Vries, Borje Jansson raced through the streets of Jerez. The 80’s
