The South East’s Friendly Circuit that caters for all the family Known as the friendly track, Lydden Hill International Racing Circuit was founded in 1955 by the late Bill Chesson and the Astra club. Lydden Hill Race Circuit (formerly known as Lydden Circuit) is the UK’s shortest road racing circuit (many shorter oval tracks exist) at exactly one mile (1609 m).

The venue is superbly situated in an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty and set with its own amphisphere, located in the beautiful village of Wootton about half-way between Canterbury and Dover in Kent. It is mainly used for FIA, MSA and ACU events as well as trackdays, including rallycross, saloon and sports car racing and vintage motorcycle racing. It may be only a mile long, but Lydden is a testing circuit, with many undulation changes.

Cash only is expected at the Race Track with the exception of advance bookings. Due to the relaxed nature of the circuit, we are more than happy to welcome Dogs onto the site. We do however politely request that dogs remain on a lead at all times and any fowling is responsibly cleaned up. Free designated Parking, including disabled, is available at Lydden Hill, however, please be aware that during larger events parking spaces may be restricted. All vehicles are parked and left at their own risk.

Lydden Hill is renowned as an area of natural outstanding beauty. We heavily rely on your support to protect and maintain our circuit environment and surrounding areas. We would like to kindly request that all visitors politely respect the surrounding areas and maintain driving standards. The circuit has a no tolerance attitude towards erratic driving both at the venue and surrounding countryside, the track is a family organised venue and we ask for your cooperation.
